Its often really difficult to choose a holiday destination; there are lots of things that you have to consider. Do you want to feel the sand between your toes of the cool coastal bbreeze on your face? Or do you favour the exhlirating buzz of an adventure holiday like a safari of a skiing trip? The world has lots to offer every type of traveller, but why not take advice from other travellers that like to see the sea and visit some of the sought after coastal destinations featured below:

Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada : with the little houses clinging onto the shoreline, this is one of the most picturesque Canadian coasts, and a great place to visit if you long for something a little more remote. It can be summery and balmy in the summer but temperatures drop below freezing in the winter so time it right to suit the weather that you prefer.

Tutukaka Coast, North Island, New Zealand: great for photos and water sports, the coastline here is spectacular.

Try diving, water skiing or fishing and really be at one with the wildlife. Quieter than the South Island, the North Island has plenty of wildlife and landscapes to fall in love with.

If you wish to stay a little closer to home, then why not visit the Pembrokeshire coast tin Wales. The houses are painted in pastel colours and it resembles something from a watercolour.

Outside Oman’s capital, Muscat, you can find the Batinah coast which is the throng of the fishing trade in Oman. Visit the fish markets and little stalls that pepper the water line.

The moray firth coast in Scotland is another close location that is popular for its outstanding cliff scenery, and is also well known for the sense of community felt when you are in the area.

Tourism keeps the pretty coastal village economically afloat, and it’s a generally very pretty and scenic.

Great Barrier Island, New Zealand is another great coastal visit, with less than one thousand permanent residents and most of the island under conservation.

If you are planning on travelling to any of these destinations this winter, make sure you go to Compare Travel Insurances.

For the kid who has everything, why not opt for a shark stuffed animal the next time a birthday, or holiday rolls around? Unlike the real thing, a child can get up close and personal with a shark stuffed animal. And the bigger it is, the more lifelike it will feel. Online stores have a very realistic looking three foot length shark stuffed animal, that is sure to delight any child. In addition, their shark stuffed animal is just soft enough to act as giant pillow for the child that insists they can’t ever part with their beloved plush toy, even when they’re sleeping.

Sharks have been around for about 400 million years swimming in oceans long before dinosaurs arrived. In the last 150 million years, they’ve had little need to evolve since they are such great survivors. Their most prominent feature, are their teeth – in an entire lifetime, a shark may grow and use more than 20,000 of them. In addition, if a shark breaks and loses a tooth, it’s immediately replaced with another that sits at the back of their mouth for just such an occasion.

Every species of shark has different shaped teeth (depending on their diet) which makes them easy to identify. A shark’s jaw is the most powerful of all animals and unlike most animals, both its upper and lower jaw moves. When they bite, a shark uses its lower jaw first, and then the upper jaw. They tear at their food while shaking their head back and forth and then swallow the food whole. Shark stuffed animals are exceptionally designed so as to replicate a sharks prominent teeth. Without them, shark stuffed animals just wouldn’t be the same.

With the exception of the whale and basking shark, all sharks are meat eaters and dine on fish, seals dolphins, turtles, and seagulls. When they feed, sharks do so alone. Feeding has been known to attract other sharks to the ‘party’ where sometimes a feeding frenzy will begin. The once species of shark, however, that you won’t see involved in feeding frenzies, is the great white.

If nothing else, shark stuffed animals can help a child to better understand these often misunderstood predators of the sea. It’s true that they’re frightening, but at the same time, they’re also incredibly interesting.

A stuffed orca or killer whale as it’s more commonly known, is one very large plush toy. While it can be purchased in smaller sizes, why would you want to when the real thing is so big? With any stuffed animal, including the stuffed orca, it’s always nice to be able to replicate in looks and size the real thing.

Free Willy was a 1993 family film which told the story of a young boy named Jesse who befriended a killer whale. After being captured out at sea in a net, a killer whale was taken to a local amusement park where Jesse was given a job cleaning up the park. While there, he made friends with Willy, the captured killer whale, and went on to teach him various behaviors which the trainer had been unable to accomplish. The owner of the park, who was without scruples, planned on capitalizing on the talents Willy has shown but when things didn’t go as planned, he resorted to whatever he needed to to make money. As a result and through other series of events, Jesse came to the conclusion that Willy needed to be released back into the wild so he could once again be with the pod he was taken from.

The orca that played Willy in the film was named Keiko and like the character from the movie, he was captured in the wild (in Iceland in 1979) at the age of two and taken to an aquarium in Iceland. Three years after that, he was purchased by the Marineland Theme Park in Niagara Falls, Ontario. While in Niagara Falls, Keiko was trained so he could perform for the public but he began to get sick with lesions that formed on his skin. In 1985, for 0,000 dollars, Keiko was sold to an amusement park in Mexico City. In 1992, Warner Bros. Pictures went to the park where Keiko was living in Mexico so the Free Willy film could be made. With publicity generated from the movie, a November 1993 feature story in Life magazine, revealed the terrible conditions at the park where Keiko called home and that essentially the giant whale was dying. The Work of the Earth Island Institute (an environmental advocacy group for marine animals) was the group which was instrumental in ensuring Keiko found a new home.

In 1994, Warner Bros. along with several other groups, donated million and the Free Willy Foundation was formed (it was later changed to Free Willy Keiko Foundation). While it would still be a few years before any discussion would take place about releasing Keiko back into the wild, in 1995 he was moved to a brand new .3 million dollar pool in Newport Oregon where he gained a whopping 1,900 pounds in the first 18 months he was there. After an additional two films were made – Free willy 2: The Adventure Home and Free Willy 3: The Rescue – pressure continued to mount to have Keiko set free. After much planning and more money, along with the assistance of the United States Air Force (for transport purposes), Keiko was flown to his new home, back in Iceland. Despite still being dependent on humans for food, on March 3, 2000, Keiko swam out in the open for the first time in Klettsvik Bay, Iceland, very close to the place of his birth. While he never had the opportunity to interact with other orca’s during his lifetime, he died a free animal, at the age of 25 on December 12, 2003.

If for no other reason than to pay tribute to Keiko, purchasing a stuffed orca is a great way to remember this remarkable animal. On the other hand, a stuffed orca doesn’t have to be bought for remembrance purposes if you just love a great plush toy, that’s as good a reason as any to get one.

The basic reason for using rubber seals is preventing fluid leakage between two joined surface. These seals are basically mechanical seals which are used in static as well as dynamic sealing applications. Rubber seals, made of natural rubber or synthetic rubber, are used in various industries like automotive, aerospace, construction etc. These seals are widely adopted in various applications because of features like resistance to aging, flame retardation ability etc.

Rubber Seals Designs
There are different varieties of rubber seals available in the market on the basis of their designs, materials, usage and applications. There are three popular designs of these seals and each design has its
distinct cross section. Let us discuss these designs below:

O-Rings
As the name suggests, these are round shapes seals, in the shape of O or a doughnut.

It has the ability to do a sealing action by deforming to take the shape of the cavity and can easily fit into it. It can be a static seal or a dynamic seal. In static sealing, there is no or little motion between the mating surfaces. In dynamic sealing, a relative motion is seen between the mating surface. O ring has simple mounting requirements.

X-rings
The seals of this design has the letter-X and hence referred as X-rings. At times, it is also known as Q-rings. Considered to be a better alternative to O-rings. Used mainly in rotary seal applications. X rings provide double-sealing action. They have a four-lobed configuration which prevent the seal from being twisted. With two sealing areas, they require less deformation to offer an effective sealing.

Square Rings
These are seals with square cross sections. Made of natural or synthetic rubber, these seals are used mainly in high pressure gasketing functions. Square rings are used in place of similar sized O-rings or other molded seals. They are ideal for static applications but not for dynamic sealing applications. Some basic advantages of square rings are controlled surface smoothness, better elasticity, correctly formed edges, and accurate hardness.

U-cup Seals
Another popular design of rubber seal is u-cup seals. They are mainly used for sealing rods or rams. With small gland spaces, they become all the more perfect. With U-shaped cross sections, self sealing is possible for both their inside and outside diameters. There are three varieties of such seals.

Shark videos are an effective visual method to educate people about the basic facts of the greatest predator under the sea.

Sharks are one of the nature’s greatest predator and highly intelligent species. Sharks have social hierarchy system and they also possess problem-solving skills and are curious by nature. Sharks sense of smell are keen, they spot a one part per million of blood in seawater that is miles away. Their sense of sight is well adapted for marine environment and their sense of hearing is so sharp, they can hear a prey that is mile away. They also possesses an electro receptor organs called Ampullae of Lorenzini that gives them the greatest electrical sensitivity in all of animal kingdom and help them find prey hidden in depths of sand.

Sharks are very peculiar beasts and it is no wonder people centuries over have been fascinated by them.

Shark videos will give you an opportunity to learn more about these fascinating creatures of the wild. These videos will educate us about this marine specie. Many of us have mistakenly believed that sharks are significantly threat to human life. The greater number of the 370 species of sharks is harmless. Sharks can eat varieties of food.

The whale and basking sharks are the biggest species on this kind which are plankton eater and not a threat to humans. In fact, many of these bigger fast swimming sharks are true meat-eating animals and an astounding different and amount of food have been found in some of these marine creatures. These various numbers of indigestible items taken from the sharks stomachs are probably the effect of the feeding frenzy that occurs when a group of sharks arbitrarily attack anything that comes their way but when sharks uses humans for food, serious conflict arises.

Acting as a scavengers as well as top carnivores, sharks are truly important in the ecology of the oceans. The reaction on shark’s attacks is often not based on facts but in emotions because shark attack on human is an exceptionally rare occurrence.

There are increasing dangers from humans that these sharks and their cartilaginous relatives, skates and rates are facing. For every person killed by a shark, over 23,000 tonnes of sharks and rays are killed through recreational and commercial fishing because we, humans target them for their meat and for their fins. They are also killed as by catch when some other species is in target. Sharks have a low reproductive capacity and are not substituting their numbers as fast as humans are killing them. More of protection of this marine creature is needed and this is one of the purposes of having shark videos. This is a continuous concern in our society, to protect these large carnivorous animals that affect our human’s population.

It gives the desire to those who were not well informed that this marine creature be slaughtered to extinction. This is the reason why many of these species are already endangered and some of them are protected. We are required to be enlightened on the value of this species, the actual and the perceived risks to humans and how best to minimize that risk and the methods and consequences of protecting threatened marine species, like sharks. It will be a great ease that globalization came because you can search and find information about you needed in the comfort of your home. If you want to learn more about the marine life and your interest might be in the largest predatory fish in the world, you can find shark videos on the Internet.
