Cancun Swim with Dolphins

Two of the most popular activities or tours while in Cancun are the dolphin swim adventure and the dolphin encounter.  Swimming with dolphins in Cancun has always been one of the great excursions or tours to do while on vacation or holiday.

Here is the difference between the different dolphin activities.  The Royal Dolphin Swim or Cancun swim with the dolphins is the most expensive program but by far the most popular.  What makes this 60 minute program so popular is the dolphin foot push.

The dolphin foot push is one of those experiences that you will not forget if you live to be 100 years old. After you have been in the water with the Cancun dolphins for about 30 minutes the dolphin trainers  will send you to the far end of the dolphin area.  There you will lay face down in the water with your arms and legs spread like a big X in the water.  Then two dolphins will find the exact location on the bottom of your feet called the sweet spot and when both dolphins are ready the will push you up and out of the water down to your knees and race you across the dolphin discovery area to the other side.  You will basically be waterskiing using two dolphins for water skis and you will have no boat as the Cancun dolphins will also be your propulsion system!

Many people cannot believe that the dolphins have so much power because it does not matter how much you weigh they will push you across the dolphin discovery area and out of the water up to your knees.  This activity is not available for small children but for them we a Dolphin Encounter.

A dolphin encounter is where small children accompanied normally by an adult will stand on a platform in about 3 feet – 1 meter of water.  The dolphins are then presented to the participants.  The participants will get a dolphin kiss, a dolphin flipper shake, and other fun activities.  They will get to see the great speed with which a dolphin can swim past them.  Participants will get a feel for how strong and powerful these animals are as they glide through the water with the greatest of ease.

The dolphin swim adventure is different than the Royal Dolphin Swim or the Dolphin Swim and the Dolphin Encounter because you will get to swim and snorkel with the dolphins and even hold on to the dolphin’s flippers as they pull you through the water.  The dolphin swim adventure is a great activity for divers and those that want something more personal and up close with the dolphins.

If you are planning a trip to Cancun be sure to reserve your Cancun swim with the dolphins, your dolphin swim adventure, or your dolphin encounter at least two weeks before your departure date for Cancun.  As the Cancun dolphins are an extremely popular activity and all dolphin activities in Cancun have limited capacity you may not get to do the Cancun swim with dolphins you want to do if you do not reserve in advance.  To reserve we recommend you visit www.cancunvista.com or www.tours-cancun.com  as these two websites have all the dolphin discovery activities you want to do and at the best prices.  All the information you need to make a decision as to which program, dolphin swim adventure, dolphin encounter or Cancun swim with the dolphins is best for you is available online.  Reserve early and have a great trip.
